I followed Onotone for months hoping they would release cases for the Pixel 9 series—I even bugged them a few times on the social networks about it—and moved quickly when I saw they had been put up for sale. Unfortunately the matte finish I ordered was not available, so I approved shipment of the glossy finish.

The case is beautiful and the color matches what was shown online (I think of it as a cayenne color). I like the simple solid-color design. It adds some bulk to the phone, as the case is dual-layer, but it adds protection to the screen and camera bar that should withstand most drops. I actually dropped my phone at a concert over the weekend, and both the phone and case are still like new.

The glossy finish is a fingerprint and smudge magnet, so I find myself constantly wiping the case down, but I'm getting used to that. I really would have preferred the matte finish, so if smudges are a concern for you, it may be worth it to wait for the matte. I can't really fault the finish in the rating, though, because I received what I ordered, and the case does what it's supposed to do. And it looks great. I might order more in the future if the matte finish is made available.
